"While you’re taking care of others, who takes care of you?"
This is the title of a FREE presentation that will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Warren Barr Pavilion in Chicago.
66 W. Oak Street (corner of Oak and Clark)
Chicago, IL 60610
Valet parking is provided. Wine (woo hoo!) and hors d’oeuvre (hardest word in the world to spell) will be served. Call Nancy Siegel at 312-705-6756 to RSVP – she is a sweetheart! Tell her I sent you.
This presentation will be given by Rita Emmett, MS, a professional speaker and author of three books: The Procrastinator’s Handbook : Mastering the Art of Doing it Now; (I might have to check that one out – later)The Procrastinating Child: A Handbook For Adults to Help Children Stop Putting Things Off
(can we reverse this and call it ‘the procrastinating senior, a handbook for grown adults to help….’) and The Clutter-Buster Handbook: Clean it Up, Clear it Out, and Keep Your Life Clutter-Free.
Rita has been presenting Keynotes and Seminars world-wide since 1978 (before my sister was born!) and she has appeared number times on the Today Show with Katie Couric (where that same sister’s husband works – NBC) and has made over 100 radio and TV appearances. (I will too someday)
This seminar is promised to be high content, high fun and interactive.
About the presentation:
Most of us are terrific at taking care of our bosses, our families, our co-workers, our friends, our neighbors, or anyone else who needs nurturing. But when it comes to taking care of ourselves, we just don’t seem to have any time or energy left, right? And so we burn out. This talk explores the importance of – and strategies for- "recharging our batteries" before we burnout or become totally drained.
Sounds like a nice break and some inspiration and sharing with other caregivers and professionals.
Enjoy and recharge!
